Combine Your Passions with Your Other Characteristics

In the previous 20 minute task, you examined combinations of things that excite you. But you're not just made up of things that you're passionate about. You have other characteristics: your age, gender, health, religion, and so on. You want to take those into account, in part because you share them with a lot of other people.

Your 20 Minute Task

Print out this page, get another piece of paper to write on or open a document on your computer. Then take the profile you created earlier and also the other papers you created as you did the first seven 20 minute tasks.

Look through your other characteristics: your age, your location, your interests, your associations. Mix those with your passions from the profile sheet and see which ones make sense. Here are more examples:

golf + I'm 72 years old = golf for seniors

golf + children + I'm 72 years old = golf for great grandparents

Now, go through and put a star by the two or three combinations that interest (or excite) you most. (If nothing excited you, you need to go see a doctor. You may be depressed.)
