Put On Your Thinking Cap

You've taken off your spy hat. Now it's time to put on your thinking cap. You need to ponder your competitors' weaknesses. Your job is to find a way to use those weaknesses.

When you first thought of the idea for your site you may have already seen a weakness that you understood how to fix. Or you may have already seen how to fix some of the weaknesses when you listed them. Now, you need to make sure your ideas are written and that you come up with more ideas as needed.

Your 20 Minute Task

First, write down any ideas you already have for how to fix weaknesses.

Next, go for a walk or take a shower or do something that you find relaxing but that doesn't interrupt your thinking. As you do it, keep in mind that you want to know the answer to a single question:

The people in my niche have a problem. How can I solve it better than anyone else is doing?

Every time you have an idea, jot it down. Then file it in your "Competitor Intelligence" folder or list it on your spreadsheet.
